Playing and Dancing Full-Out

Playing and Dancing Full-Out (“Full-Out”) is a non-profit corporation formed by Ms. Verleana D. Green, Esq., to create the possibility of the fitness and wellness of inner-city youth throughout the Unites States. Full-Out will create state of the art sports and dance facilities throughout the U.S., starting with the first facility of its kind in Oakland, CA. Currently, inner city youth are not provided with the adequate training or nutrition to be the best they can be in the sport of their choice. Injuries, ill-nutrition, and lack of physical and mental preparation are some of the pitfalls facing youth involved in sports today. Full-Out will address these issues by creating state of the art sports and dance facilities.

Full-Out focuses on:

  • Academic Achievement

  • Nutrition

  • Physical Fitness

  • Overall Wellbeing

Sports and dance have proven to be a positive out let for youth, and create discipline on and off the field and stage. Discipline is created when youth have an after-school routine that provides a forum of accountability, leadership and teamwork. Youth will be provided with an outlet to excel in academics, sports and life. To learn more about Playing and Dancing Full-Out, please visit our website at www.playinganddancingfullout.com.

Students Rising Above Scholarship

Founded in 1998 by Anchor, Wendy Tokuda, and Community Relations Manager, Javier Valencia, SRA began as a scholarship program supporting outstanding Bay Area students who were “beating the odds.” Students selected in the program are typically the first in their families to go to college and lack the financial resources and family support to fulfill their educational dreams.

The Law Office of Verleana D. Green's founder and owner, Ms. Verleana D. Green Esq., is a longtime supporter of SRA. Ms. Green has served as the Graduates of Students Rising Above Committee Chair, establishing and organizing Alumni of SRA who have graduated from college and received the SRA scholarship and want to serve as mentors and volunteers in the organization. Ms. Green is also a member of SRA's Students Advisory Council, and is also one of the first students to receive an SRA Scholarship.
